Wiesbadner hut (over Radsattel) – intermediate level – 4 hours
Setting out from Dorfplatz in Galtuer, follow the valley hiking trail to Silvretta Hochalpenstraße up to Bielerhöhe. There is a fee for this trail. Here the path leads to the left along the reservoir dam, until right near the end (at the signpost) a broad hiking path branches off to the left. An easy ascent brings you to the Bieltal valley. Follow the trail through the Bieltal valley. Via steep and winding trails you'll reach the Radsattel (2,652 m) and then once again make a descent to the Wiesbadner Hütte, or hut. You will have the glacier passage of the Ochsentaler glacier, the impressive Piz Buin (3,312 m), the Silvrettahorn (3,244 m) or the Schneeglocke (3,223 m) peaks all at your feet.
Niederelbe hut – intermediate level – 6 to 7 hours
Starting at Dorfplatz in Kappl, follow the Gemeindestraße (municipal road) until you reach Weiler Ulmich. From the Haus Alpenheim follow the trail to the right and take the subsequent footpath. On the path you will pass a small chapel. Follow a narrow footpath to the left, which leads you past numerous hay bales and winds through the untouched and flower-rich Fatlartal valley. Along the glittering Riepasee Lake you will finally reach the Kieler Höhenweg way, which will then lead you to the right towards the Niederelbe Hut. Here you can relax and take in the beauty of your surroundings, rounding off your day mountaineering in Tyrol.
Waterfall – Versingalpe – Medrigalm - beginners level to alpine huts in Tyrol – 3 hours
This hike starts from the summit station (Bergbahn) in See and heads off in the direction of the parish church and further along the street to the Weiler Schaller. From there you turn right and follow Forststraße street until you reach the waterfall. Then go on over the Forstweg way until you reach a crossing. To the left on the Forstweg, keep going until you reach Schallerbach stream and finally go along the wild stream until you reach the Versing Alpe meadows. Renew your strength with savoury cheeses, milk or traditional alpine pasture butter from the Paznaun region.
Friedrichshafener hut - intermediate level – 2 hours
Start in Ischgl at the Mehrzweckhaus. This trail leads over the Valzur in the direction "Piel" until you reach the parking lot of the Friedrichshafener Hut in the valley. From here you take the footpath or go along the roadway until you reach the hut. You can also choose to go hike further in the direction "Grieskogel". Underneath the Adamsberg mountain you'll have a wonderful view of Galtuer, the Bielerhöhe and well into the Jamtal valley with its glaciered three thousand metre peaks.
