The bouldering area, which was first truly discovered by Bernd Zangerl in 2003, is located underneath the Ballunspitze peak at 2,000 metres and is one of the best bouldering areas Tyrol has to offer.

Bouldering has become quite a trend in alpine sports over the past few years and is, in contrast to climbing, associated with minimal equipment and effort. Only climbing shoes and crashpads (mats on the ground) are needed. As these are available for rent in Galtuer, a trip to Silvapark is a tempting option even for those who have never bouldered before. Bouldering is a style of climbing without ropes done at "jumping" height. The goal is to solve individual problems, during which not just individual muscles but rather the entire body gets a workout.

Spend a day bouldering in Tyrol at Silvapark in Galtuer, which you can best reach by taking the Birkhahnbahn lift. The bouldering area is divided into 8 sections, each separated by a short walking distance. Names like "Anam Cara“, "Golden Gate“ and "Falsche Götter“ (false gods) represent some of the most difficult bouldering problems in the world. With difficulty grades as high as 8c ("Anam Cara"), even the most experienced boulderers will be able to sound out their personal limits. A few of the most difficult problems have only rarely been completed or actually not repeated since Bernd Zangerl's first climb. Stunning views of the Paznaun region and the Montafon - on the Vorarlberg side - are a nice bonus.
