The Ballunspitze fixed rope route is located near the funicular mountain station. An incline considered average to difficult will take you from an elevation of 2,300 to 2,700 metres. Of course it is secured throughout.
For additional climbing adventures, check out the Alpinarium located in the centre of Galtür. The exterior wall of the avalanche protection wall has been redesigned into a climbing wall. On the interior of the multi-functional building you can also test your skills on a climbing wall that also offers difficult lines. The Jamtal Cabin also offers man-made climbing walls – indoors and outdoors.
In the discipline of mountaineering, you do have the option to take tours into the high alpine terrain if you have the required experience and are adequately fit physically.
