GALTÜR: STARTING SHOT FOR AN AWARD-WINNING FAMILY WIN-TER
Families take note: On 3rd December, it's "Hit the slopes" in the child-friendly SILVAPARK Galtür, which has won several international awards! In the six sectors of the skiing area, 12 park stations and a varied weekly programme with ski safari, Indian Day, barrel stave race and night skiing await winter sports enthusiasts young and old. Top: With the SILVAPARK family ski pass, families can save up to 30 percent
From 3rd December, there’s a lot to see and do on the slopes of Galtür: In the internationally acclaimed Silvapark, more than twelve tailor-made park stations ranging from the Midget World to the Action Park await young and old skiers and snowboarders with exciting challenges. The best: Families with children under 19 years of age can save up to 30 percent with the SILVAPARK Family Pass. Reliable snow conditions on the 40 kilometres of Galtüre ski runs with nine lifts are ensured until the end of the season on 15th April, thanks to the altitude and north-facing slopes. Perfect conditions, therefore, for a white and exciting family skiing holiday with a varied weekly programme consisting of ski safari, Indian Day, barrel stave race and night skiing. After a hard day on the slopes, tired ski bunnies will perk up in the Galtür indoor adventure swimming pool. Be sure to try out: the 45-metre-long adventure slide with light and sound effects, as well as the separate mother-child area.
Eventful variety – one skiing area, six sectors and twelve park stations
Those looking for variety on their family ski holidays have come to the right place in Silvapark Galtür: Here we don't count the kilometres of slopes, but sectors and parks. Altogether, twelve exciting park stations in six sectors wait to be explored by individual family members. The best: In the midget land "Siggi's Bambiniland", small children do not need a ski pass to playfully learn skiing with ski instructors specialised in the youngest ones. Kids and teens can really let their hair down in the Adventure Land, including in the creepy enchanted forest and on the Hunter's Trail. The Action Park and the Kingdom of heroes then provide for some proper thrills: The ski terrain, reserved for very good skiers, is challenging. The jumps across large rocks and boulders are high and the mogul slope, Zeinispark with rails, Curvedbox, Tables Kicker and Easy Boardercross as well as the Speedway speed measurement run put high requirements on your skills. Classic winter sports enthusiasts will get their money's worth in the piste paradise. And backcountry and cross-country skiers, too, will find their eldorado at Silvapark in the High & Nordic sector. But that’s not all: There's plenty of space for freeriders, too, in Galtür. But here, safety first applies! That's why before the deep powder snow downhill run there's an introduction to the theory and safety rules – conducted by ski instructors and mountain guides – as well as a training session with avalanche search and rescue devices at the Pieps station.
Gold, silver, bronze – excellent choice of skiing region
For an unforgettable family ski holiday, the SILVAPARK Galtür is an excellent choice in more ways than one. And that relates not only to the price-performance ratio, the family rates in particular which the Konsument magazine awarded a prize to in the winter season of 2010/2011. The genuine family-friendliness and perfect slope preparation resulted in the awards "5 Stars for family-friendliness" by Alpensicht.com and "TOP for families" by Skigebiete-Test.de in the last few seasons. The international ski area test 2010/2011 awarded gold to Galtür for its offerings for children, bronze in the family ski area category and even crowned it test winner in the categories "slope maintenance" and "slope maintenance night skiing". The platform snow-online.de also rewarded the slope preparation in SILVAPARK Galtür, awarded with the Tyrol Seal of Approved Trail Quality
