SUMMER WALKS IN PAZNAUN

Star-rated cuisine in the high alps, guided mountain tours and a moving history are what make the Tyrolean district of Paznaun, around Ischgl, Galtür, Kappl and See, into an area that is full of variety for walkers and hikers

Walking is all the rage - yet it is a great deal more than purely conquering a summit. In the Tyrolean district of Paznaun, walkers are not just sent on a tour, they are carried off into a world of mountain experience. This is how summer holidays can turn into an experience: In walks among the summits, or along the smugglers' paths into Switzerland or from hut to hut on the Culinary St James's Way, there are plenty of new areas of interest to discover for yourself in the country around Ischgl, Galtür, Kappl and See. Over 300 kilometres of signposted footpaths wend their way through unspoilt countryside, through alpine pastures in bloom and past eighteen managed alp and mountain huts. When you visit them there is always a surprise. In four of the huts there are dishes available throughout the summer, that have been created by the chef of the century, Eckart Witzigmann, together with four other exceptional chefs. And if you are looking for cultural as well as culinary delectation you will find it in the Fimbatal, where a cultural walk takes you along historical pathways though the imposing Hochtal so you can experience the formerly important connecting route between Paznaun and Engadin.
In our programme of walks, trained mountain guides accompany our guests on adventure hikes, as well as demanding mountain routes, and make the joy of reaching the summit into a truly personal part of every summer holiday
