Party with Katy Perry in Ischgl
Katy Perry, born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson in California in 1984, achieved worldwide fame through her provocative hit "I kissed a girl". This pastor's daughter discovered her love of music during a church festival at which she sang in the gospel choir. She has named the band Queen as her greatest musical influence during her youth.
Her debut album "Katy Hudson", released under her own name, was not a success. After releasing this album she changed her stage name to adopt her mother's maiden name and to avoid being confused with actress Kate Hudson. In 2008, "I kissed a girl", the first single from her forthcoming album "One of the boys", was released in the USA. It reached number 1 in Canada and topped the charts in both the US and Australia, and was also a big hit in Europe. This worldwide smash hit saw her career take off. Her subsequent songs such as "Thinking of you" and "Waking up in Vegas", her sexy outfits and her infamous live gigs have since transformed her into a superstar.
