Silvretta High Alpine Road (Hochalpenstraße)
Biking on one of the most beautiful roads in the Alps
The Silvretta High Alpine Road is one of the most beautiful mountain roads in the Alps, starting directly in Galtuer and leading to Vorarlberg via the Bielerhoehe.
The Silvretta High Alpine Road is only open in summer and is a toll road, but that’s a small price to pay. It’s about ten kilometres from Galtuer to the Bielerhoehe, where the highest mountain of the Austrian Silvretta range, the Piz Buin, towers above all. Restaurants, sporting activities and boat trips on the reservoir are waiting for you at the Bielerhoehe. While there are only two hairpin bends in the road on the way up, there are 30 such bends on the way down to neighbouring Vorarlberg.
Experience one-of-a-kind views and a wonderful, natural scenery. The Silvretta High Alpine Road is a must-do tour in the summer. Secure your room at the foot of this dream road – with online reservation or enquiry for a room with no obligation.
