Silvapark is Galtür's unique winter sport concept. Six sectors offer excellent conditions for skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing.

The Galtür ski area in Tyrol in the Austrian Alps is renowned for its traditional charm. The inhabitants of Galtür have made a conscious decision against mass-tourism in order to maintain a natural and family-friendly ski area in the Austrian Alps. Silvapark is the next stage of this development. With a forward looking concept, ski pistes, snow-parks, kids’ areas, cross-country ski-tracks and ski tours have been split into six separate sectors. Particular value has been placed on maintaining the natural environment and mountain landscape in all its glory.

From the 2007/2008 winter season onwards Silvapark in Galtür has re-presented itself. The 'Zwergerlwelt [Kids' World]' and 'Abenteuerland [Land of Adventure]' sectors have been designed specifically with Kids in mind. 'Actionpark [Action Park]' is directed at youths and sporty adults, and at 'Heldenland [Heroes Empire]' practiced freestylers and freeriders are perfectly catered for. Pistenparadies [Piste Paradise] provides optimum conditions to alpine skiers and snowboard racers. The 'High & Nordic' sector comprises both ski tours in the upper mountains as well as numerous cross-country ski-tracks.

Sector 01: Zwergerlwelt [Kids' World] – Kids only!

For youngsters and young beginners. SIGGI the mascot accompanies your children through their first snow related experiences. This colourful, child-friendly environment and certified children’s' ski instructors guarantee playful ski training.
Equipment/extras: magic carpets, simple slalom, wave track, slide, igloo, etc.; no ski pass required!

Sector 02: Abenteuerland [Land of Adventure] – magical skiing

If your children are already experienced skiers there are... easy to difficult trails offering spine-chilling stories in the enchanted forest and also lead to the witches cavern. On the Jägerpfad [Hunters' Path] nature trail your kids can get to know the animals and plants of the region.
Equipment/extras: wave track, small banked corners, tunnels, giant slalom with timing, kids' overtaking track with four lifts

Sector 03: Actionpark [Action Park] – airtime & speed

For youths and sporty adults. The skill of a winter sportsman is put to the test on the moguls and speedway speed-measuring section. Freestylers find their new home in BetterPark, snowboards & skis welcome.
Equipment/extras: moguls, racetrack, snow-park with rails, mini wall, straight box, curved box, rainbow box, double box, natural half pipe; tips and tricks from park guides for all the action in BetterPark, contests

Sector 04: Heldenreich [Heroes Empire] – backcountry & cliffs

Reserved for very skilled skiers and snowboarders. After some training for action off piste, challenging terrain and jumps across rock and stone is waiting in the mountains. Freeriding in deep-snow areas with extensive built in safety measures.
Extras: theoretical and practical training as well as handling the avalanche transceivers from the alarm stations, safety equipment

Sector 05: Pistenparadies [Piste Paradise] – alpine sports & panorama

For piste skiers, carvers and alpine boarders. The outstanding pistes of the Galtür ski resort are waiting to be discovered. Fast lifts and cable cars take you to pistes that have varying levels of difficulty. A rest-zone with sun-loungers offers a captivating view.
Equipment/extras: 9 lift and cable car facilities, 40 kilometres of superbly prepared pistes (6 km easy, 24 km medium, 10 km hard, 3 km ski-route); night skiing and après-ski in the huts.

Sector 06: High & Nordic – unspoiled snowy landscape

For cross-country skiers, ski tourers and snowshoe hikers. Numerous cross-country ski-tracks take you into the valleys of the region surrounding Galtür, as well as ski touring in magnificent mountains. You will experience a glorious winter holiday on the skiing tracks and snowshoe hiking paths away from the pistes.
Equipment/extras: 74 kilometres of cross-country ski-tracks (skating and classic) and skiing tracks; tours with trained mountain guides from Galtür Ski School.
