Vermunt Reservoir
That a reservoir does not have to appear artificial is apparent at the Vermunt Reservoir. For many visitors on a very hot summer day, taking a dive into the cold lake waters is a real treat.
Surrounded by magnificent mountain scenery, the Vermunt Reservoir is located at an altitude of 1,743 m. On three sides the lake is confined by mountains. On your visit you can take a walk along the dam wall, just as you can at the Silvretta and Kops Reservoirs. By car you can drive directly to the lake and along it as well. It's certainly worth taking a hiking tour from Galtuer to the Vermunt Reservoir, or to hike up from the reservoir to one of the 3,000 metre peaks and reward yourself afterwards with a dive into the cool waters. You won't easily forget your time at the lake during your summer holidays in Tyrol.

Even fans of mountain biking will be able to make the most of their time at the lake on the wonderful bike paths. At the Tourism Association in Galtuer you can find out more about the numerous mountain biking trails and also about fishing possibilities in the area, because you can cast your line on these turquoise blue waters and enjoy a day in the mountains.
