Small, Light, Medium or Hard?

Routes

Rugged summits, glistening lakes and plenty of unforgettable views – you could barely imagine a more spectacular backdrop than the Tyrol mountains for a running event.

Whatever route you choose to explore this unique Alpine landscape while running is up to you. Depending on your fitness level and personal preference, the Silvrettarun 3000 offers three route variants. Head up high in the "Small", "Light", "Medium" and "Hard" categories – each of which is peppered with special highlights!

NOTE: The event will take place as planned

The HARD route, with the course passing through the Jamtal, was relocated. The new route leads along the MEDIUM route to Tschafein and via the Friedrichshafener Hütte lodge to Galtür.

The other routes are not affected by the landslide and can be run as planned.

Every route is a natural adventure

Beginners and leisure-oriented runners are best to opt for the "Small" route of the Silvrettarun 3000. Over 11.2 kilometres participants tackle a total of 300 metres altitude via Mathon and Tschaffein to Galtür. The "Light" route takes participants over 19.36 kilometres and 873 meters altitude via Mathon, Bergli and Larein to Galtür. The "Medium" route is somewhat more demanding heading up to the summit. Spanning a length of 29.9 kilometres, there is more than 1400 metres altitude to tackle – and by way of a reward there are spectacular points on the route including the famous Ritzenjoch. The ‘foremost’ event of the Silvrettarun 3000 is the mountain marathon. TThe "Hard" variant really demands everything from the runners over 41,9 kilometres as they battle their way up a total ascent of 2,330 metres.

Time limits

The safety of all those involved is the top priority! The time limits were introduced as a result of the experiences gained from previous events. These limits serve not only the entrants' safety, but also that of the safety attendants along the route.

The organising team reserves the right to change the time limits at any time before or during the race or to introduce an additional time limit.

  • Participants on the HARD course who arrive at the course marshal in Tschafein Sägewerk after 1:00 pm (course split between the ascent of Adamsberg/Friedrichshafener Hütte and the course towards Galtür) may no longer continue on the HARD course. Participants may then only finish the race via the MEDIUM route towards Galtür.
  • Last finish: 3:30 pm
