Dear guests,

We are all very much looking forward to welcoming you to Paznaun and its resorts of Ischgl, Galtür, Kappl and See this coming winter!

The winter holiday period of 2020/21 naturally throws up many questions. And we are happy to answer them all for you. But first the good news: a winter holiday is indeed possible in the 2020/21 season!

We have learned from the past and created a health management system that goes far beyond the official requirements in order to be able to guarantee the safety and health of our many guests from all over the world as well as for the employees and locals. We are putting all our efforts into becoming one of the safest winter destinations! Health and safety are a top priority in the Paznaun-Ischgl region. Let’s look out for one another!

Take care and protect us all Corona measures for winter 2020/2021

The first day of skiing will take place on 26 November 2020, as planned. However, there will be no Top of the Mountain Opening Concert. Details of the alternative Opening Concert start will be presented in autumn. Galtür starts on December 5, Kappl & See on December 18, 2020

The cable car companies in Paznaun and Samnaun are also offering a comprehensive package of measures in the ski resorts in addition to the legal regulations to enable enjoyable and relaxing days of skiing.

In winter 20/21, there will be no après-ski in its usual form. Après-ski offers will be drastically limited due to the legal regulations. But its new form will provide a key, higher quality offer for our guests. Details to follow!

We recommend that guests are able to present a negative test result no more than 72 hours old when they check in. Guests who are unable to present a test result have the option to undertake a voluntary test on-site. Temperature measurements will be taken when checking into the accommodation and a short questionnaire should be completed.

All employees must arrive with a recent negative test result or else undergo testing on-site when they start work. Regular testing opportunities are also provided.

We recommend taking out travel insurance for the coming winter season. Our accommodation offers the chance to take out travel insurance with ‘Europäische Reiseversicherung’ at the point of reservation. This now insures against Covid-19 as well as any other unexpected serious illness.

The personalised contact tracing apps provide the opportunity to contribute to safety by informing your circle of contacts of any individual cases. More information to follow.

Ongoing sewage testing will take place in collaboration with the Tyrolean state government and University of Innsbruck, enabling potential infection to be identified at an early stage with a high level of accuracy and thereby considerably improving prevention.

The community of Ischgl, the Paznaun-Ischgl tourist board, the Silvrettaseilbahn AG cable car company and other establishments have appointed trained Corona safety officials who ensure that the latest regulations are being followed and immediately implemented.

Preparations for the start of the winter season are well underway in Paznaun. The entire population of Paznaun are working with great dedication to provide our guests with as safe a holiday as possible through the implementation of health protection measures. Our vast valley and the resorts of Galtür, Ischgl, Kappl and See offer plenty of space for a wide-ranging winter experience. Spectacular landscapes, unlimited exercise and a chance for the body and mind to slow down guarantee you the chance to recharge your batteries during these unprecedented times.

Not only have the people of Paznaun undertaken the best possible preparations to protect the health of guests, employees and locals to the maximum, they are also working with great passion and dedication to prepare for the winter season 2020/2021. Let’s look out for one another!

We would like to thank you for your loyalty and look forward to seeing you again in winter – with the usual passion, warmth and friendliness!
