Every year Galtür transforms into a paradise for cross-country skiing enthusiasts and in 2024 it's that time again: welcome to the third Galtür Nordic Volumes!

It all starts on Thursday and Friday: Immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of the legendary Nordic Sprint Race and the Kids Race, where you have the opportunity to be part of an energetic day of sport and fun. On Saturday, the Cross Country Climb takes you on an impressive journey through the beautiful Vermunt up to the Bielerhöhe.

One more tip: Participation in the Nordic Sprint Race and the Kids Race is free of charge! Don't miss this unique cross-country event in Galtür!

The Race Office is located in the Galtür "Gemeindehaus" on the square in the village centre.

  • 08:00 pm: Online entry deadline Nordic Sprint Race (FIS and ÖSV)
  • 03:00 - 04:30 pm: ONLINE entry check AC and FIS competition (Sprint) - Note: Federations that do not check their entries will not be drawn.
  • 05:30 pm: Team captains meeting Sprint (Race Office/online)
  • 05:30 pm: Team captains meeting Kids Race (Friday)
  • 11:59 pm: Online entry deadline Nordic Sprint Race (fun run)
  • 00:00 am - 11:00 am: Late registration Nordic Sprint Race via RaceTimePro App (only cross-country skiers)
  • 10:30 am - 01:00 pm: Race Office open
  • 11:00 am - 01:00 pm: Official training
  • 11:00 am - 12:30 pm: Distribution of start numbers Nordic Sprint Race - Race Office (Note: only by nation/association/folk cross-country, start number collection in person only)
  • 11:00 am - 7:00 pm: Catering open in the event area
  • 12:00 pm - approx. 06:00 pm: EXPO open (Fischer, Kästle, Salomon, Atomic, Rossignol, Gloryfy, Leki and Madshus, Gloryfy, HWK, Holmenkol and Toko)
  • 12:45 pm - 01:15 pm: Transponder distribution
  • 01:15 pm: Qualification - Note: Qualification for men and women, then division into the respective classes (U20, U18, U16, cross-country female, U20, U18, U16, cross-country male)
  • 02:30 pm: Team captain briefing for the final competitions
  • Approx. 02:30 pm: Distribution of start numbers and transponders for the finals in the finish area
  • 03:00 pm - 06:30 pm: Final runs youth 1 & 2, women and men - start times will be posted on site
  • 06:00 pm: Online entry deadline Cross Country Climb (FIS and ÖSV)
  • 06:45 pm: Award ceremony in the finish area
  • 09:00 am: Online entry deadline Kids Race
  • 09:00 am - 12:15 pm: Late entry for Kids Race via RaceTimePro App
  • 09:30 am - 03:00 pm: Cross-country ski test with Fischer, Atomic, Kästle and Salomon
  • 09:30 am - 04:00 pm: EXPO open (Fischer, Kästle, Salomon, Atomic, Rossignol, Gloryfy, Leki and Madshus, Gloryfy, HWK, Holmenkol and Toko)
  • 10:00 am - 03:00 pm: Official Cross Country Climb training (please note: changes are possible due to the avalanche situation at the time)
  • 10:00 am: Meeting point for children's cross-country training start-finish area
  • 10:30 am - 12:45 pm: Children's cross-country training with the PROs
  • 11:00 am - 07:00 pm: Race Office open
  • 11:00 am - 12:15 pm: Late registration and race number distribution Kids Race - Race Office
  • 01:00 pm: Online entry deadline for the Cross Country Climb (ATTENTION: late entries via the RacetimePro APP are still possible)
  • 01:00 pm - 01:30 pm: Transponder distribution for children
  • 01:30 pm - 02:25 pm: Qualification children
  • 02:30 pm - 03:15 pm: Children's finals
  • Approx. 03:30 pm: Award ceremony for children (after the children's finals)
  • 03:30 pm - 05:00 pm: Cross-Country Climb entry check AC and FIS competition (Note: Associations that do not check their entries will not be drawn).
  • 04:30 pm - 07:00 pm: Race number distribution Cross Country Climb - Race Office (Note: only by nation/association/folk cross-country race start numbers only in person)
  • 06:00 pm: Online team leader meeting Cross Country Climb (online)
  • 06:15 am - 07:30 am: Race Office open
  • 06:15 am - 06:45 am: Cross Country Climb race number distribution (Race Office)
  • 07:20 am - 08:15 am: Transponder issue for adults
  • 07:30 am - approx. 01:00 pm: EXPO open (Fischer, Kästle, Salomon, Atomic, Rossignol, Gloryfy, Leki and Madshus, Gloryfy, HWK, Holmenkol and Toko)
  • 08:00 am: Start Cross Country Climb (HARD course) ATTENTION: The start times (HARD and LIGHT) may be postponed due to weather conditions or depending on the expected avalanche situation, or start times may be brought forward. Information will be provided at the team captains' meeting and/or by participant email
  • Approx. 08:15 am: Start Cross Country Climb (LIGHT course)
  • 09:45 am: Time limit Baggerloch (for HARD course) - diversion to LIGHT course
  • 10:30 am: Time limit at bend 34 Silvretta Hochalpenstraße - (OTL = Out of Time Limit)
  • 11:30 am: Cross Country Climb finish
  • Afterwards: Award ceremony for all classes for the fun run (finish area or sports and cultural centre Galtür, depending on the weather)
