At the 2nd Galtür Nordic Volumes, 558 cross-country skiers from 16 nations competed for a total prize money of 10,000 euros on 1 and 2 April 2023. The race programme included the Galtür Nordic Sprint Race, the Cross Country Climb from Galtür to the Bielerhöhe and a Kids Race.
Save the Date: The next Galtür Nordic Volumes will take place from 22 to 24 March 2024.
Exciting head-to-head races in the morning: Nordic Sprint Race
In the men's race, Benjamin Moser from Austria won gold, Ondrej Cerny from the Czech Republic silver and Lukas Mrkonjic from Austria bronze. In the women's race, Laura Gimmler from Germany took first place, Teresa Stadlober from Austria second and Barbora Antosova from the Czech Republic third.
Youngsters prove themselves in the 2nd Kids Race
The top place on the podium with the fastest time in the girls' and boys' races and thus the gold medal around their necks were secured by Hanna Dablander from Austria and Bastian Mutscheller from Germany in the children's race and Emilia Tasser from Germany and Nicolas Höllwirth from Austria in the kids' race.
Mountain cross-country skiing with high demands: 2nd Cross Country Climb
Gold on the demanding course HARD was won by Brugger Janosch from Germany with a time of 58:37.6 minutes in the men's category and Gimmler Laura from Germany with 1:02:33.1 hours in the women's category. The LIGHT course was conquered fastest by David Fuchs from Austria in 24:46.8 minutes and Lena Einsiedler from Germany in 27:22.9 minutes.
