Our tip: Make a note of Saturday, 10 December 2022 in your calendar. Because on the first ski day in Silvapark Galtür, pure skiing pleasure is on the agenda. Snow guarantee and feelings of happiness included! The next events at the start of the season will follow promptly: On 10 December there will be a particularly extensive skiing experience at the first day again. And on 11 December the second Zipflbob World Championships will be the absolute event highlight. But that's not all by a long shot...

The highlights at the start of the season at a glance

Saturday, 10.12.
- First day of skiing in the Silvapark Galtür: Enjoy pure skiing pleasure for the whole family on 43 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes with guaranteed snow!
Saturday, 10.12. & Sunday, 11.12.
- Fischer Ski Test: Take the opportunity to test the new Fischer models free of charge.
Sunday, 11.12.
- 2^nd Galtür Zipflbob World Championships: Let the child in you shine! The fun race starts at 11:00 am at the Faulbrunnalm. Simply register, pack your winter shoes and helmet and join in!

The Zipflbob WM at a glance

When: Race start at 11:00 am, award ceremony at approx. 3:00 pm at the Wirl car park
Where: Meeting point & start number distribution at the finish area Faulbrunnalm
Admission: free of charge and for everyone over the age of 18, limited number of participants
Required equipment: winter shoes, helmet compulsory, back protector (recommended)

Race programme

If you like to go skiing before the race, you can hand in your shoes, which you need for the race, directly at the ticket office of the Bergbahnen Galtür in Wirl. The shoes will then be taken to Faulbrunnalm by the organisation team.
At 11:00 am the race starts above the Faulbrunnalm. The easiest way to get there is by taking the Alpkogelbahn. On the exit, you will see the Faulbrunnalm on the left side and above it the start.
Please be at the finish area at 10:45 am to arrange the start. There you get the start numbers as well as the Zipfelbobs.
Afterwards, all participants will walk to the start. The start takes place in small groups, means 5-10 participants divided into women and men groups.
The race mode is K.O. system. The fastest of the group gets into the next round. The award ceremony takes place in the valley at the parking next to the info station of Radio Ramasuri at about 15:00 pm. The first to fourth places can win great prizes.

18 years of age
Only winter shoes are allowed. No hardshell shoes like ski boots
Helmet is required
Back protector is recommended
Conditions of participation must be signed by every participant on-site
