The Silva Boulder boulder park is located at the foot of the Ballunspitze at an altitude of 1,800 metres. The climbing course features beginner-friendly friction slabs, technical cracks and widely overhanging roofs.

Located at the base of Ballunspitze at an altitude of 2,000 metres, the Silva Boulder Boulderpark in Galtür ranks among the top bouldering areas globally. It features 14 sectors with a total of 445 boulder problems, offering routes for all skill levels, including “Anam Cara” (8c), one of the most challenging boulders in the world. Bouldering here is secured with thick foam mats known as crashpads, and the rock is composed of durable primary rock. Access to the climbing area is conveniently reached with a short 5-minute cable car ride to the mountain station Alpkogelbahn.

A family-friendly route (A/B) suitable for children from 8 years, well-secured with steel cables and additional aids. Starting at the Birkhahnbahn cable car mountain station, with 100 metres of elevation gain, including a rope bridge and easy climbing sections.

The "Little Ballun" family via ferrata is perfect for children aged 8 and above, offering a safe climbing experience at difficulty levels mainly A/B. The route climbs 100 metres in altitude and is well secured with steel cables and other aids. Starting from the top station of the Birkhahnbahn, features include a short rope bridge and various climbing sections. On clear days, climbers are rewarded with stunning views of the Silvretta mountains.

The Silvapark via ferrata at Ballunspitze is a challenging alpine route rated difficulty D. Beginning in Galtür, the via ferrata ascends through various stages, including a rope segment across the Ballunspitzgrat, leading to the summit at 2,671 metres. The route is technically demanding and requires strong fitness and advanced climbing skills. A major attraction is the breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding Silvretta mountains, particularly rewarding in clear weather.

The Pfannknecht Via Ferrata offers a moderately difficult alpine climbing experience with a difficulty rating of C. The route ascends over 1,150 metres in altitude and includes a total climbing time of about 20 minutes within an overall duration of 7 hours and 50 minutes. The via ferrata is especially well-secured, offering stunning scenic views. Special equipment is required, including full via ferrata gear and, in winter, ski touring equipment. The approach starts from the Jamtalhütte, and the descent follows marked trails back to the lodge.

The via ferrata to the Gorfenspitze is more of a challenging mountain path with some via ferrata elements below the peak. The tour starts in Galtür and follows a marked hiking trail through steep grass and rocky areas, requiring sure-footedness. The via ferrata sections are short and have difficulties from A to B. Although partially secured with steel cables in the upper part, the route is technically less demanding in the lower areas, making it a good option for less experienced via ferrata climbers.

The Kleinlitzner via ferrata, established in 1988, offers a challenging blend of climbing and walking sections. The ascent starts either at Vermuntstausee or Madlenerhaus lodge, leading to Saarbrücker Hütte lodge. From there, markers guide climbers to the entry point at 2,650 meters. The route features difficulty levels from A to C, traversing earthen ramps, steep ascents, and a chimney up to a key crux. The summit climb is achieved via exposed slab ridges, providing stunning views, with safety ensured by continuous steel cables and foothold pins.

Kletterarena Wiesbaden

The climbing opportunities around the Wiesbadener Hütte were established by the Wiesbaden section of the DAV with support from the Galtür and Montafon mountain guides, the Montafon mountain rescue team, the training leaders of the Wiesbaden section of the DAV, and the lodge owner. A total of 42 routes are available, offering a varied climbing experience. The routes are set in north-west and north-east exposures, providing different challenges and a diverse climbing experience.

The natural stone climbing wall in the Alpinarium is Austria's highest natural stone climbing wall and includes part o the retaining wall. It features a practice via ferrata. Due to its nature, it is not suitable for use in bad weather.
