Galtür offers a wide range of summer activities, including hiking, mountain biking, climbing, bouldering and trail running, as well as plenty of adventures for families. Mountain lakes, attractions and events provide even more variety.

Yes. Families can enjoy child-friendly hiking and cycling routes, the children’s bouldering park, a treasure hunt, geocaching and a varied activity programme. Selected walking routes are also suitable for pushchairs.

Around 250 kilometres of marked hiking routes are available in and around Galtür. They range from gentle family walks and panoramic trails to challenging summit routes and multi-day hikes through the Silvretta and Verwall mountain ranges.

Depending on the weather and snow conditions, the best time for hiking is generally from late June until the end of September. Easier routes often remain accessible into October. Before setting off, check the weather, trail conditions and current hut opening times.

Yes. In addition to a range of mountain bike and e-bike tours, the Silva Trails bike park offers around 15 kilometres of varied trails. These include easy flow trails as well as more technically demanding descents.

Yes. The very easy Alpkogel Trail is particularly suitable for beginners, families and leisure cyclists. At Siggi’s Base, young riders can improve their skills on dedicated trails, a pump track and a jump line.

Galtür offers climbing and bouldering experiences for a range of ability levels. The Silvapark includes a children’s bouldering park, while the “Little Ballun” via ferrata is suitable for beginners and children aged eight and over.
