Cross-country skiing trail start & prices

On 5 November 2026, Galtür will kick off the cross-country skiing season. A specially groomed opening trail is planned to mark the start, as the high altitude provides ideal conditions for those first few kilometres on the trail even early in the winter.

Whether you prefer classic style or skating – carefully groomed trails, crisp mountain air and the panoramic views of the Paznaun mountains ensure a great start to the new winter season.

  • €9.00 per day
  • €3.00 for the afternoon pass (from 2 p.m.)
  • €36.00 per week
  • Use of the trails is free of charge as part of cross-country skiing courses offered by local ski and cross-country skiing schools.
  • Right next to the Galtür mountain railway, there is a paved car park with around 50 to 70 free parking spaces available for all cross-country skiers.

FIS Rules of Conduct for Cross-Country Skiers

For a safe and fair experience on the trails of Galtür and Ischgl, the official rules of the International Ski Federation (FIS) apply.
Please follow the ten basic rules – out of respect for both people and nature.
Note: Dogs are not allowed on the trails.
