A temporary high is already dissipating, and the weather will once again be dominated by the Atlantic this weekend. Before the arrival of a cold front, which will cross us during the night on Sunday, a strong southerly foehn will set in in the mountains on Saturday. In addition, there will be a pleasant mix of sun and clouds north of the main Alpine ridge before the clouds will thicken towards the evening. On the main Alpine ridge itself, a weak southerly barrier with heavier cloud cover and some precipitation will set in ahead of the cold front. On Sunday, the front will have passed, but dense residual cloud cover will remain, which should thin out somewhat with a persistent southerly foehn. Nevertheless, we will remain in a changeable westerly flow, with the next weak disturbance reaching us at the beginning of the week. Heavy precipitation is still not an issue. However, the colder temperatures are likely to remain with us for the long term. Despite a significant improvement in the weather from Tuesday onwards, it will remain very cool.
