K.8.: Oberhaus - Durrichalpe

Medium difficulty hike via Oberhaus to Durrichalpe and back

Starting from the village square in Kappl the shady route no. 9 takes you to Oberhaus. From there continue right, uphill slightly, via a tamac road until a consistently climbing forest trail begins after around 300 m to the left. Heading past the wildlife feeding area you reach a fork in the road, which branches off to Diasalpe on the left and Durrichalpe on the right. At Durrichalpe there are a few traditional alpine lodges which are no longer managed today, yet still provide very nice rest areas.
Return section: via forest path no. 11 to Oberbichl or via the more steep short cut to Oberbichl and from there continue via the municipal road to Kappl.

With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Kappl Dorf
