E-Bike World Championships for everyone in Ischgl and Galtür in 2025

The E-Bike World Championships for everyone will take place from 4 to 6 September 2025 in Ischgl and Galtür. The elite category is eagerly awaiting the four-way battle between favourites Daniel Geismayr, Daniel Klemme, Philip Handl and Swiss world champion Linus Gerber. In the women's category, South Tyrolean Barbara Oberdorfer is the big favourite.

At this world championship, organised by the Paznaun-Ischgl Tourism Association and the E-Bike World Fédération, everyone from young to old, professional or casual cyclists, and all levels of ability can participate in line with the motto "Everyone a winner".

The E-Bike World Championships for everyone are taking place in Ischgl and Galtür for the fifth time. The two Paznaun villages, known for their first-class conditions for outdoor sports, are once again the ideal venue for this event.

Elite duels are tough!

In the women's competition, anything other than another World Championship title for South Tyrolean Barbara Oberdorfer would be a surprise. In the battle for the title in the elite men's category, however, everything is still open. On the one hand, German e-bike specialist Daniel Klemme, two-time e-bike world champion (2021 + 2022), wants to be back at the top after finishing second last year, but on the other hand, the competition is fierce. With Daniel Geismayr and Philip Handl, two successful local cyclists are at the start. This is a first for Vorarlberg-based professional cyclist Geismayr, who is currently in great shape. Philip Handl finished a strong third last year. All eyes are also on Switzerland's Linus Gerber, who became world champion in 2024 with a lead of almost two minutes.

In addition to the established "Elite" and "Everyone" categories, the "Everyone Advanced" category will be introduced for the first time in 2025. This means that the event will be even more specifically tailored to all performance levels.

Prominent starters

Several former world-class athletes will also be taking part in the event. As every year, Super-G Olympic champion Sigrid Wolf will be there. We can look forward to seeing the e-bike skills of Super-G world champion Hannes Reichelt, who is sure to put on a spectacular show as a former downhill skier and ski pro. Another regular guest is Walter "Schoko" Schachner, who creates a great atmosphere every year with his easy-going manner. Together, these sporting legends guarantee an event full of excitement, charm and unforgettable moments.

Fox hunt and sun.downer

The E-Bike World Championships for everyone will kick off on Thursday evening on the uphill route towards Idalp with a fox hunt. Everyone will be chasing "fox" Teresa Stadlober. The local ÖSV cross-country skiing star will be riding a normal bike, and the "electrified" hunters will have to catch up with her. For spectators and participants, there will be a sun.downer followed by an award ceremony at the Alpenhaus on the evening of the event.

Attractive supporting programme and e-bike expo

In addition to the exciting competitions, visitors can look forward to a varied supporting programme. The large E-Bike Expo presents the latest trends, models and technologies relating to e-bikes. From special accessories and modern bike clothing to the latest e-mountain bikes – interested visitors can not only take a look, but also test the products directly on site. There will also be musical entertainment, culinary highlights and numerous opportunities to exchange ideas with like-minded people.
