Ischgl kicks off the 2025/26 winter season with pop star Rita Ora

On 29 November 2025, global superstar Rita Ora will put on a spectacular show against the nighttime mountain backdrop at the legendary "Top of the Mountain Opening Concert." The concert will begin at 6 pm in the parking lot of the Silvrettabahn cable car. The day ski pass also serves as admission ticket. The Silvretta Arena will open for skiing on 27 November 2025.

On 29 November 2025, Ischgl will once again set off spectacular fireworks to mark the start of the new winter season: at the legendary ‘Top of the Mountain Opening Concert’, global superstar Rita Ora will light up the Tyrolean mountains with her unmistakable power and ensure an opening that will remain unforgettable.

Rita Ora – chart-topper and power woman

British singer, songwriter, and actress Rita Ora is one of the most successful pop artists of her generation. Since her debut album ORA in 2012, she has stormed the international charts with hits such as Anywhere, Your Song, I Will Never Let You Down and Let You Love Me and has received multiple platinum awards. Her unmistakable mix of pop, R&B and dance, combined with energetic live shows, thrills fans worldwide.

Rita Ora has also made a name for herself outside of music: she has impressed audiences as an actress in international film productions, worked as a model and presenter with global brands such as Adidas, Escada, and Primark, and set trends with her distinctive fashion aesthetic. She is also committed to social projects and has received several awards for her social commitment.

Her musical success story is impressive: after a sold-out European tour, she made a spectacular return to the stage in 2017. Her second studio album, Phoenix (2018), was a huge success, streaming over 330 million times in the UK alone. Her last five singles have surpassed one billion Spotify streams worldwide. With Let You Love Me, Rita Ora broke a 30-year-old record: she became the first British artist to achieve 13 top 10 singles in the UK charts, overtaking legends such as Shirley Bassey and Petula Clark. Several of her songs also made it into the most streamed tracks and airplay charts of 2018.

Rita Ora will now give a unique open-air concert in Ischgl against a winter mountain backdrop. With a mix of international chart hits and current songs, the award-winning artist promises a thrilling experience full of goose bump moments – and an unforgettable start to the winter season.

Access to the concert venue

The spectacular live concert starts at 6 pm in the parking lot of the Silvrettabahn cable car in Ischgl. Admission is from 4:30 pm, with a DJ getting the crowd going beforehand. The day ski pass also serves as a concert ticket and costs 95 euros for adults and 60 euros for children on the day of the event. Admission is included in valid multi-day ski passes for two days or more. Tickets are now available online at: ischgl.skiperformance.com.  

Winter innovations in Ischgl: Two new 8-seater D-Line chairlifts, international connections, and a tennis event

The 2025/26 winter season kicks off in Ischgl with numerous innovations:  Two state-of-the-art 8-seater D-Line chairlifts – the Höllbodenbahn C1 and Sassgalunbahn C3 – offer maximum comfort with heated seats, weather protection hoods, and the innovative AURO system. With themed chair backs, photovoltaic modules, and sustainable reuse of the old facilities, Silvrettaseilbahn AG is setting new standards in design and environmental awareness.

Another new feature is the international connection to the Ikon Pass network, which gives winter sports fans access to over 60 ski areas in America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan – including, for the first time, the Silvretta Arena Ischgl/Samnaun. The premiere of the Ischgl Trophy (December 11–13, 2025), an exclusive tennis event featuring stars such as Dominic Thiem and Tommy Haas, accompanied by a high-caliber supporting program, offers sporting variety away from the slopes.

From 27 November 2025, winter sports enthusiasts will be able to enjoy the first turns of the season on the slopes of the cross-border Silvretta Arena.
