New "Ischgl Trophy" event celebrates its premiere in December 2025

Big tennis show with Mischa Zverev, Haas, Thiem and Fognini

Stuttgart/Ischgl, 12 June 2025 - The Ischgl Trophy will create a new sports and lifestyle brand from December 2025. From 11 to 13 December 2025, the VIP exhibition tennis tournament will take place for the first time at the Tennis Center Ischgl. Both current and former tennis pros such as Tommy Haas, Mischa Zverev, Dominic Thiem and Fabio Fognini will serve at the short tournament with a competitive character in the ATP off-season with prize money of 100,000 euros, seating for 1,200 guests and a live broadcast via TV and streaming. A total of six tennis aces will take part in the Ischgl Trophy in two groups of three.

The venue Ischgl in Tyrol combines alpine lifestyle, exclusive entertainment and sporting performance. The Ischgl Trophy is now a new highlight in Ischgl's calendar, which already boasts well-known events such as the "Top of the Mountain" concerts that bring world stars to the Tyrolean mountains. By organising the event at the start of the winter season, the tennis tournament is also setting a new sporting accent outside of traditional winter sports.

"The Ischgl Trophy is a unique opportunity to expand our diverse programme with a high-calibre, international tennis event. We are very much looking forward to hosting the tournament and creating another highlight in the winter programme - an event that underlines the variety of experiences in Ischgl and meets the high expectations of our international guests," says a satisfied SSAG board member Günther Zangerl.

Highlights on the courts will be provided not only by the charismatic Italian Fabio Fognini, but also by the Austrian tennis idol Dominic Thiem and the German duo Tommy Haas and Mischa Zverev, who will show at the Ischgl Trophy that they are still able to handle the tennis racket perfectly.

"With its alpine backdrop and perfect infrastructure, Ischgl offers a stage that is unrivalled in tennis. The combination of winter sports, lifestyle and a top-class tournament creates a unique experience - for players and guests alike. It is precisely this special mix that makes the Ischgl Trophy something extraordinary," said organiser Edwin Weindorfer at the event presentation on Thursday as part of the ongoing ATP grass court tournament BOSS OPEN in Stuttgart.

There will also be a varied supporting programme during the Ischgl Trophy: an evening in a mountain hut and a gala with high-quality gastronomy will showcase the diversity of the winter sports resort. In addition, the pistes of the Silvretta Arena Ischgl/Samnaun invite you to ski and the wellness offers in the Silvretta Therme Ischgl invite you to relax.

A tennis clinic with Tommy Haas, a ProAm with professionals and a ladies' exhibition match round off the sporting event. "Ischgl has always stood for extraordinary experiences - with the Ischgl Trophy we are proving once again that lifestyle, entertainment and top-class sport can be perfectly combined," says Alexander von der Thannen, Chairman of the Paznaun-Ischgl Tourist Board.
